Our Work
We love creating wonderful poems that make a perfect occasion even more special
We’ve been lucky to have the opportunity to write poetry for some lovely people. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Our work has included wedding vows, birthday wishes, a best man speech, and mementos for special occasions. Each piece uniquely crafted and personal.
We included a few of the stories of our work below, along with some of the client feedback that makes us feel so proud.
Carina’s Wedding Vows
As Carina’s wedding ceremony ended the registrar was heard to comment: “There’s not a dry eye in the house.”
Carina and husband Steven wanted their vows to really mean something to them and to serve as a lasting reminder of their commitment to one another. A few weeks before the wedding day they asked Perfect Poetry to compose Carina’s vows and a set of personalised poems to be presented to their mums as a token of thanks for their love and support.
Perfect Poetry were so approachable. There was no hard sell. They just listened to what we wanted and then got on with the job. The finished pieces were just amazing.
House Warming and Baby Memento
Karen Duncan commissioned Perfect Poetry to produce a house warming gift for the friend who seemed to have it all. Just a brief email and a few days later she handed over her good wishes in a personalised, framed poem.
Karen was so impressed with the painstaking and personal service offered by Perfect Poetry that she was soon back for more. Perfect Poetry composed a poem from her baby Oban to his Daddy to mark Oban’s first birthday.
It’s such an easy process. You give some ideas about the person you are writing for and Perfect poetry puts it into words and makes it all flow. The poem is with you in days and they work with you to get it just right.
Andrew’s Best Man Speech
When Kerry Dolan set about looking for a gift for her friend’s wedding, she knew she was seeking something more personal than a kettle or a toaster. With her hubby Andrew as best man, she was determined to find a gift that was both meaningful and memorable. Andrew, on the other hand was more preoccupied with pulling together his best man speech as the big day loomed.
Perfect Poetry answered both of their prayers by penning the best man’s speech with effortless humour and style. Andrew presented the poem to an eager crowd against a backdrop of photographs whilst Kerry presented it to the newly-weds in a frame.
It was a huge success. We left the verse on display and Guests kept coming back to read it during the day. It was a gift that would last not just in its frame, but in the memories of the people who shared that day.
